Dialectical Behavior Therapy: Adapting Techniques for Collaborative Professionals
Presented by: Britt Rathbone, LCSW-C, Linehan Board of Certification-DBT Certified
Collaborative professionals often see clients at times of extreme stress and when symptoms are at their very worst. Emotions are frequently heightened and can interfere with reason and effective decision-making. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment for individuals with extreme emotions and behaviors that interfere with achieving goals. DBT effectively treats multiple diagnoses simultaneously with the highest risk clients and provides necessary support for the therapist. This training will orient collaborative professionals to DBT in the clinical setting with a specific focus on techniques that may be adapted to increase effectiveness of their work.
This event will be held via Zoom.
Note: No CEU’s or CLE’s will be provided for this program. However, attendees will receive certificates and may use these hours toward the required training hours for each practice group.
