She has expertise in the areas of child development, child abuse/neglect, children\'s special needs within the separation/divorce process, co-parenting dynamics, power and control dynamics within adult relationships, as well as trauma-focused interventions for children and for parents who have experienced intimate partner violence.
Colleen has assisted families in private practice for approximately four years as a parenting consultant, mediator, parenting coordinator, co-parent coach, individual therapist, family therapist and conducts parenting plan and specific-issue evaluations for families. In addition to her private practice, Colleen worked for over a decade in Child Protective Services in Montgomery County, Maryland and for several years as a Supervisory Therapist at Montgomery County\'s Trauma Services. Colleen is currently the President of the Montgomery County Divorce and Family Law Roundtable, and has worked closely with the Domestic Violence Coordinating Council in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Colleen\'s professional career has been dedicated to assisting families during crises and life changes.
