Jennifer Davison is a family law attorney and partner at Tucker PLLC who provides guidance to clients and families in Washington, DC, and Maryland. She handles all types of family law, matters including, divorce, asset division, child support, custody, alimony, prenuptial agreements and postnuptial agreements.
In her practice, Jennifer is particularly adept at helping clients identify and prioritize their goals. “I love receiving emails from clients six months or a year later saying, ‘I just wanted to let you know that I’m doing great and thank you for helping me through a really hard time,’” she says. “I’m just one stop on a client’s journey. And if I can point them North for the next stage, that’s what I enjoy most.”
Whether it’s navigating the immediate challenges of divorce or planning for the future Jennifer works to ensure that every client’s path forward is clear and achievable. She brings a blend of empathy and a no-nonsense approach to her practice, ensuring that her clients feel both heard and realistically guided through their legal journeys.
An attentive listener, Jennifer gathers data and information before formulating a strategy for each case. This approach allows her to provide tailored solutions to her clients’ unique situations, with a focus on long-term resolutions that benefit everyone involved.
Jennifer’s expertise includes divorce litigation, negotiation, mediation and Collaborative Divorce, with an emphasis on seeking out-of-court resolutions whenever possible. She has proven highly successful in finding a way to assist both parties in coming to agreement in even the most contentious cases. This approach is part of her commitment to empowering her clients to understand and actively participate in formulating solutions.
In her practice, Jennifer has developed particular expertise in navigating the financial elements of a case, helping clients get clear on their needs, including daily living expenses, career planning, retirement security and college funding. Her pragmatic and level-headed manner guides clients through difficult conversations, focusing on helping them make the right decisions for the best outcomes. “A client can call me charged up emotionally, and usually, we can find our way through the conversation with concrete steps. My approach is not to create drama but to navigate it.”
In Jennifer’s spare time, she enjoys exploring the DC region with her two energetic children, traveling and subjecting her family to her cooking experiments.
