Alisa is an Attorney working exclusively in all areas of family law and family formation. Alisa is a strong advocate of collaboration and negotiation to resolve disputes; however, when dispute avoidance fails, she stands ready to fiercely advocate for her clients’ financial, business, and personal interests through litigation. Alisa is a trained mediator and assists clients in utilizing the mediation process to resolve family matters with respect and integrity. Alisa has also served as court-appointed counsel for children’s best interests in contested custody cases in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia.
Alisa has a strong public service background and believes in serving the indigent population in the District of Columbia. Prior to joining her firm, Alisa served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jeanette J. Clark in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia Family Court. She also volunteers with the D.C. Bar Family Law Pro Bono Project as Advising Counsel.
As a Member of the D.C. Academy of Collaborative Professionals, Alisa has assisted on the Membership Committee. Alisa is also a member of the Maryland Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals practice group. Alisa has also been recognized for her dedication to the family law field by peers by selection to Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2019, 2020 and 2021, and U.S. News and World Report\\\'s Best Lawyers in America for 2020.
Alisa graduated cum laude from The George Washington University Law School with her law degree and summa cum laude with a double Bachelors in Political Science and Sociology from Arizona State University. Alisa is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, Florida, and Maryland.
