Hahva Gallagher, LICSW

Hahva has 16 years of experience working with children, teens, adults and families. Hahva's approach is warm, action oriented and collaborative. In her work with children, teens, families and adults, she specializes in CBT, and DBT skills and incorporates mindfulness into her sessions. She works well with people of all ages dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD and bipolar disorders.

Beyond therapy, Hahva specializes in working with families that are dealing with separation, divorce and post- divorce. Within this specialty, she has served as a clinical adviser to lawyers representing the best interests of children in custody cases. Hahva works as a parent coordinator, divorce coach and child specialist. She believes in the collaborative process as a solution to providing a safe space for mitigating conflict and determining a sustainable co-parenting model.

Hahva relocated to DC from San Francisco and has spent time locally working at Children's Law Center and The Sibley Group. She now runs her own private practice.

Hahva attended University of Georgia for her undergraduate degree and UC Berkeley for her Masters in Social Work.
