Rachel is an attorney at the Burr Law Firm practicing family law in Virginia, DC and Maryland. Rachel began her practice in Virginia in 2017 and witnessed the impersonal experience that clients often received inside the courtroom. After expanding her work to DC and Maryland, Rachel also trained in collaborative law to broaden the toolkit of approaches she can offer families who are processing separation and divorce. Rachel advocates for a holistic approach to family law encompassing the use of professionals to cater to a family’s financial and emotional needs. Her experience includes both collaborative divorce and litigation, as well as adoption, protective orders, special education concerns, and school choice matters. Rachel grew up in Boston and lives in Northeast DC with her husband, toddler, and very spoiled dog. Rachel attended University of Richmond School of Law and received her Bachelor’s degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, which she tries to visit as much as she can. She looks forward to serving the collaborative community through DCACP and exploring new ways to support and uplift the work of our members.
